Ambassador Kerem Alkin took up his duties as Permanent Representative of Turkey to the OECD on March 15, 2021.

He was born in 1965 in Istanbul.

He has been an academician for the last 33 years.

After graduating from Saint-Michel French High School in Istanbul in 1983, he completed his undergraduate education in 1987 at Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration.

He started his academic career at Istanbul University in 1987. He worked at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics for 14 years and at Istanbul Commerce University for 13,5 years.

He held many administrative roles during his academic career. He served as the President of Nişantaşı University from March 2014 to March 2015.

Since March 2015, he has been working as a professor at Istanbul Medipol University, Faculty of Business and Management Sciences. He is also the Dean of the Faculty.

He took part in the establishment of 3 different television channels. He worked as the Editor-In-Chief for Bloomberg HT channel over 3 and a half years. From 2018 to 2020, over 1 and a half years, he was the General Secretary of the Turkey Exporters Assembly.

He is the President of Renewable Energy Research Association (YENADER) and Mobile Service Provider Businessmen Association (MOBİLSİAD).

He is the General Secretary of the International Competition Research Association and the Academic Director of URAK Inter-Provincial Competition Index Research.

Turkish Academy of Sciences; " Encouragement Program for International Scientific Publications in Social Sciences”; TÜBA / 777th Scientific Publication Support Award for the chapter of “Basic Characteristics of Interculturel Bank Management in Turkey” in "Banking Cultures Of The World" Book; Germany; 1995.

Awarded 3rd place (among 56 publications) in "2002 Dilek Sabancı Research Award" with research publication "Restructuring the State Organization”.

 Ambassador Alkin is married with one daughter.
